Study With Me

You’ve read all the books and taken all the courses. You’ve taken practice test after practice test and your LSAT score is going nowhere. Whether this is the current plateau you’re feeling, or the future plateau you want to avoid…

You’ve come to the right place.

I’m the last stop LSAT instructor

My students come to me after struggling with one-size-fits-all courses or working with individual LSAT instructors who do little more than copy those same tactics.

I know where major LSAT prep companies fail. Better yet, I know how to patch up their blind spots.

Studying for the LSAT is a 7-day-a-week job.

And if you’re working, I’m working.

No matter the day, no matter the time. I respond seven days a week.

How I Teach the LSAT

My tutoring style works best for students:

Who have hit a wall with their self-study approach

Who need help busting plateaus—specifically into the 160s or 170s.

I specialize in students with some LSAT experience who need a creative, individualized approach to break through to the next level.

What Tutoring With Me Looks Like

A single high-impact hourlong session, designed to change your score through intensive analysis into how you already take the test, and targeted tweaks that lead to significant score improvement.

Before our session, we’ll have a phone consultation where I request the exact information I need from you so I can prepare for our session.

Then, I do my homework, and craft a session that will get the most out of every minute we spend together.

Your Take-Homes

After our session, you will leave with…

Personalized LSAT adjustments that boost your score without restarting your LSAT approach from scratch.

A custom study plan to provide structure throughout your remaining LSAT journey.

A video recording of our session for you to keep forever and refer to whenever you need it.

Everyday unlimited support via text and phone, even if we’re not scheduled to meet again.

Pricing

Each High-Impact Session is $450.

If this sounds like a big investment to you, you’re right. Except it’s not an investment to you.

It’s an investment in you.

My students earn hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships—not to mention thousands of dollars in waived application fees—after improving their LSAT scores.

So, yes, tutoring is an investment. But given how it turns into massive law school savings, it is totally worth it.

*Tutoring sessions require a consultation beforehand.

Intimate Group Classes

Your LSAT teacher should know more than you.

… Seems like common sense, right?

Weirdly enough, though, many LSAT prep classes don’t follow this rule.

Other companies offer LSAT classes taught by 95th percentile scorers. Those scores are great if you’re applying to law school, but not if you’re trying to know more than the students you teach.

Students deserve to be taught by someone who knows more than them, no matter what. That’s why here, every class is taught by a perfect scorer, using a curriculum developed by a perfect scorer.

Believe it or not, I’ve taught some of those same instructors you’ll find teaching at other major companies.

Together we’ll focus on techniques, study habits, and developing a healthy LSAT mindset, all to create a reliable path for your success.

Not only will you be learning from someone who has taught for years at the highest level, but you’ll be getting personal attention, too. All GoldenLSAT classes are limited in size. Some even include bonus private tutoring.

Reading Comprehension Workshop

Change your Score, not Your Reading Style

The Reading Comp Bootcamp is a three week course that covers all the basic skills you need to master LSAT Reading Comprehension.

Most courses focus on categorizing passages or coming up with complicated note-taking techniques. We won’t do any of that here.

Instead, we’ll focus on skills built for the modern, online LSAT. We’ll focus on how you read, instead of trying to change 20+ years of momentum.

You will learn how to…

  • Aim using the question stem, and know exactly where in the passage to look for an answer.

  • Identify the small, two-to-three word Bricks that make an answer choice provably wrong.

  • Solve Comparative Passages using a surprisingly simple method that I’m shocked others don’t use.

  • Master Timing, and learn how to make the types of choices that will guarantee you finish all four passages at your maximum potential.

Over the years, my Reading Comp students have come to me all over: from Powerscore, 7sage, LSAT Max and LSAT Demon. They all have found my skills-based strategy to be a refreshing breath of fresh air from the usual mess of categories and question types.

Classes are limited in size to ensure personal attention.

Post-session video recordings are provided to students.

Self Studying for the LSAT

Behind the Scenes of 180-level LSAT Habits

For the past ten years, optimizing focus has been a major passion of mine. That’s why I’m pretty sure this is the only place you can find a class like this.

My self-study workshops focus on new “study and focus” topic each week, offering students a chance to “drop in” and hone their self-study practice, at a fraction of the cost of a class or tutoring session.

In “Self Studying for the LSAT,” you will learn how to…

  • Maximize your time. 8-hour daily cram sessions don’t lead to results—they lead to burnout. Learn how to optimize your daily study hours and outscore those who think quantity is better than quality.

  • Keep your mind at peace. Stress, anxiety, racing thoughts... sound familiar? Learn new, easy-to-implement test day habits backed by leading research.

  • Set yourself apart. Discover what I’ve learned from numerous interviews with fellow LSAT high scorers, and chart a path towards excellence.

To achieve an elite score, we need to be different. That doesn’t mean fitting 28 hours of studying into a 24 hour day; it does mean changing your habits—and there’s no better time to get started than now.

 Frequently asked questions

  • Chances are slim. Only 0.1% of test takers get a perfect score. Only 1.5% of test takers even get above a 170. That’s okay, though!

Our goal isn’t perfection. It’s getting you a score that will help you get into the schools you want, and hopefully with some scholarship money on top of that.

  • I do not guarantee points increases, because, quite honestly, I can’t force you to do your homework. Instruction, studying and practice are all essential for the LSAT. I’m only responsible for the first one.

That said, my students on average see pretty significant raises in score. The best-ever gain I’ve seen from a student is 35 LSAT points, which equaled a 65 percentile point gain!

Most tutors brag about 5 or 10 percentile point gains. My students often see at least 20 to 30.

  • A few things:

1.) I approach tutoring relationships as more than a job. I don’t expect students to be logic-mastering study robots. We’re all human. We all have up days and down days, and we all have different starting points. I care about your success on a personal level. Your legal career starts with the LSAT. I want that start to be comfortable, encouraging, and enjoyable. That’s why I go beyond teaching: I help manage stress and workload as well.

2.) I have a 180 on record, and most tutors don’t. Scoring a 180 means I needed to over-prepare. I needed to know more than the test would ask me, so I’d never be shaken or surprised. No matter what your current score is, I’ve experienced the path to move past it.

3.) My diverse experience as a professional writer, tutor, and national campaign advisor have given me interpersonal tools and communication skills that you rarely find elsewhere. I bring all of those skills into every session, so you get the best experience every time. Not to mention, I can help you write a killer essay :)

  • ypically, I recommend anywhere from 1-3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Of course, this depends on what will fit into your current lifestyle and needs. We’ll build a plan based around what you can realistically do, and make the most of it.

Some tutors and reddit boards will recommend way more daily study time than I do, but I’ve found that this leads to burnout and even decreases in performance. In fact, some students at first choose not to work with me because of my study limits, only to come back months later after burning out.

Because the LSAT is a skills test, and not an information test, cramming in the hours does not work. My clients drill like professional musicians: in quick, focused bursts that allow for maximum concentration and purposeful skill gains.

  • Our sessions take place via Zoom and will include work on a digital whiteboard that I will then send to you as a PDF at the end of our sessions. You can also record the sessions if you like!
